His portraits, ?fragmentations? and triptychs all seem to have been consubstantiated with the spirit of the arts. In his work, Xavier Gaviola uses traditional materials such as oil and acrylic on canvas or paper, as well as digital images. His visual interests include the exploration of images linked to universal seminal thought, reflections on the limits and possibilities in painting, and the visual exploration of topological spaces related to the philosophy of language. He also worked in advertising, film and television. The pictures he paints and the stories he tells, especially during the last ten years, have been made and told by calling on mixed techniques. Most of his works contain images taken from their original context and redefined in a totally different context ... they are transformed. The themes of his work are the issues and questions of humanity ... Religion, environment, politics, ethics, life challenges, natural disasters and relationships, dotted with occasional historical references to art.
